Apples in the oven

Baked apples are a classic of European cuisine, popular since ancient times. This dessert combines the tenderness of fruits, the richness of nuts, and the aroma of spices to create a harmony of flavors and textures. The combination of dried apricots, prunes, and raisins adds sweet honey-caramel notes while cinnamon and ginger provide spicy warmth. Baking in foil preserves the juiciness of the apples and transforms them into a tender, melt-in-your-mouth dessert. Before serving, the apples are drizzled with honey or maple syrup to highlight their natural sweetness. This dish is perfect for cozy evenings when served with ice cream or a cup of fragrant tea and also makes a light, healthy dessert for the whole family.
