Estonian apple pie is a delicate and aromatic treat infused with the warmth of northern traditions. The recipe is based on simple yet harmoniously combined ingredients: airy dough, sweet baked apples, and light meringue. Its history roots in Estonian cuisine, known for its love of seasonal fruits and homemade pastries. This pie surprises with contrasting textures: a crispy crust, soft apple slices with subtle hints of cinnamon, and an airy protein topping. Due to its delicate flavor, it pairs perfectly with morning tea or a cozy family dinner. In Estonia, it is often made in the autumn season when fresh apples add special juiciness and aroma to the pastry. Such a treat not only delights the taste but also creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort.
