Syrniki 'Favorite' is the embodiment of home comfort and traditional Russian cuisine. Their roots go back to ancient times when housewives made cottage cheese pancakes using simple and accessible ingredients. Tender inside with a crispy golden crust, they win hearts with their soft flavor and slight sweetness. This recipe allows for perfect syrniki: airy, aromatic, and appetizing. They pair wonderfully with various toppings—from condensed milk to berry jams—adding a touch of freshness or sweet richness. They can be served for breakfast, afternoon tea, or even as dessert after lunch. The amazing simplicity of preparation makes them a beloved dish in many families, filling each bite with warmth and joy.

1
Mix the egg, cottage cheese, sugar, and flour. The consistency should be neither liquid nor dry.
- Cottage cheese 9%: 400 g
- Chicken egg (organic): 1 piece
- Sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Wheat flour: 2 tablespoons

2
Make cheese pancakes. You can wet your hands to prevent sticking. Roll them one by one or make a sausage and cut it.

3
Heat the pan. Cheese pancakes must be placed on a heated pan, but reduce the heat to medium. Pour about 50 grams of sunflower oil into the pan; olive oil can also be used.
- Sunflower oil: 50 ml

4
Place the cheese pancakes on a heated skillet.

5
Fry on medium heat for about 3 minutes on each side until a characteristic golden crust forms.

6
Turn off the stove and cover it, leaving for 3 minutes.

7
Serve with any topping (condensed milk, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry jam).
