Chicken Gizzard Soup

Chicken gizzard soup is a traditional dish of Russian cuisine filled with rich flavors and healthy ingredients. In ancient times, chicken offal was used to create hearty and aromatic dishes as they are rich in protein and become tender and tasty when cooked properly. This soup combines the light acidity of tomatoes, the soft texture of rice, and the rich meaty aroma of gizzards that unfolds after stewing. A light sautéing of onions adds a special depth of flavor to the soup, while the addition of sour cream makes it particularly creamy. This dish is perfect for cold days, providing comfort and warmth. It can be served as a standalone dish or with fresh bread to complement the taste of a traditional Russian meal.
