In a dry heated pan, sauté the chopped onion and garlic.
- Onion: 0.5 head
- Garlic: 1.5 clove

When the onion and garlic are fried, add 2 sprigs of chopped basil.
- Green basil: 3 stems

After a minute, add the tomatoes in their own juice along with all the sauce from the jar, add olive oil, and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes, covered.
- Tomatoes in their own juice: 850 g
- Olive oil: 15 ml

Remove from heat and blend the resulting soup in a blender. It's important not to overdo it; just a few seconds will suffice. We should get chopped pieces of tomatoes, not cream. You can also add the remaining basil sprig to the blender.
