Pea soup with smoked meats is a classic of Ukrainian cuisine, filled with depth of flavor and aroma. Historically, it originated from rural traditions where smoked meats added richness to simple dishes. Tender green peas combine with the spiciness of the smoked meats, creating a rich texture and warming taste. Carrots add a light sweetness, while onions and celery provide freshness and subtle spicy notes. This soup is an excellent solution for a hearty lunch, especially in cold weather. It is eaten as a standalone dish, complemented by fresh bread and herbs. The simplicity of preparation makes it accessible to everyone, while the harmony of flavors makes it a favorite in home menus.
