Tomato salsa with lime is a bright and refreshing sauce from Mexican cuisine that perfectly complements meat, fish dishes or snacks. Its origin is linked to traditional Latin American recipes where fresh vegetables and spices are mixed to create a rich flavor. The tangy lime and spicy jalapeño add zest to the salsa, while cilantro and garlic provide depth of aroma. Finely chopped ingredients blended together create a smooth and rich texture, while straining makes it more refined. This salsa can be served with corn chips, tacos, burritos or as a marinade for meat. It is a versatile sauce that is easy to prepare and will always enhance the flavor of any dish.

1
Chop the onion, cilantro, and garlic. Remove seeds and veins from the jalapeño and chop it. Squeeze juice from the lime — about 2 teaspoons needed.
- Red onion: 20 g
- Fresh cilantro (coriander): 5 g
- Garlic: 1 clove
- Jalapeno pepper: 0.5 piece
- Lime: 1 piece
2
Blend all ingredients except tomatoes in pulse mode about 5 times. Drain excess juice from the tomatoes, place them in the blender, and blend for another 2 times.
- Canned tomatoes: 400 g
3
Strain the salsa through a fine sieve and serve.
- Salt: 0.3 teaspoon
