Watermelon rind jam is an amazing treat that transforms seemingly useless rinds into a gourmet delight. This dish has a long history and is especially popular among lovers of unconventional desserts in Europe. The taste of the jam is delicate, with light citrus notes thanks to the orange added during cooking. The transparent caramelized pieces of watermelon rind resemble candied fruits, and their sweetness is perfectly balanced with fruity acidity. This jam pairs excellently with toast, pancakes, or cheese and can also be used as an original filling for pastries. It not only delights the palate but also demonstrates a careful attitude towards ingredients, inspiring creative use of simple components.
