Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich
1 serving
20 minutes
One of the most popular sandwiches in the northeastern United States, New England. A simple recipe, which is why every more or less decent chef has his own "real" version. The main thing is the quality of all the few ingredients.

1
Toast the bread in the toaster, making sure not to let it become dry.
- White bread: 2 pieces
2
Add some olive oil to the mayonnaise (homemade is best), squeeze in some garlic, and add a dash of Tabasco or freshly ground pepper.
- Mayonnaise: 3 tablespoons
3
To achieve beautiful, crispy slices, lay the bacon on a cold tray, place it in a cold oven, and start heating it to 200'C. After 15-20 minutes, the bacon will become crispy and change color - just be careful not to over-dry it. Immediately place the bacon on a paper towel to absorb excess fat.
- Bacon: 2 pieces
4
Slice the tomatoes into half-centimeter thick rounds.
- Tomatoes: 3 pieces
5
Arrange the lettuce leaves to match the size of the bread pieces.
- Romaine lettuce: 2 pieces
6
Combine the ingredients and place them on a large heated plate.
