Italian salad with pasta, ham, and pickles is a harmony of flavors and textures inspired by Mediterranean cuisine traditions. The dish is based on al dente pasta that gently combines with juicy pieces of ham, the freshness of tomatoes, and the spiciness of pickles. Grated cheese adds richness while dill provides aromatic freshness. The history of such salads goes deep into Italian culinary traditions where simple and accessible ingredients were transformed into exquisite dishes. Mayonnaise unites the flavors creating a soft and appetizing texture. This salad is perfect for a light lunch or as a hearty side dish to main courses. It impresses with its simplicity while offering vibrant taste sensations that linger long.

Boil the pasta (preferably spiral-shaped, as they make the salad look more appetizing) in salted water, without oil, remove and dry a bit from the water. The pasta should be slightly firm ('al dente'), as they may swell a bit more in the salad.
