Layered salad with grapes

30 minutes
Layered salad with grapes is a refined combination of tender chicken fillet, fresh apple, tangy cheese, and juicy grapes. This recipe, inspired by Russian cuisine, embodies a balance of flavors: the light tartness of the apples complements the softness of the chicken while the grapes add freshness and sweetness. Historically, such salads emerged in the 20th century when layered dishes became popular for their aesthetics and depth of flavor. The fine texture of mayonnaise binds the ingredients together, creating a harmonious ensemble. The addition of walnuts provides a slight crunch and nutty flavor, turning this salad into an ideal decoration for a festive table. It pairs wonderfully with white wine and is served chilled, making it especially refreshing on a hot day.
