Remove the bottom part and dark green leaves from the onion, then slice thinly and set aside.

Pour water into a large pot up to three-quarters full and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions (until soft), then drain thoroughly using a colander.

Put the pasta back in the pot and add green onions, tuna, sweet corn, and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly.
