Homemade dumplings with beef are a classic Russian dish with deep roots in the history of folk cuisine. They are made from thin elastic dough wrapped around a juicy meat filling consisting of minced beef with onions and spices. Dumplings symbolize the warmth of home, bringing families together at the table. Their taste is a harmony of tender dough and juicy meat, complemented by light spices. In Russian culinary traditions, dumplings are boiled, fried to a golden crust, or steamed. They are served with sour cream, butter, or broth to enhance the richness of flavor. This simple yet flavorful recipe makes dumplings a favorite dish for both weekdays and holidays.

1
For the test, we sift the flour into a mound on the table, make a well in the center, crack an egg into it, and pour in water. We add salt and knead a firm dough.
- Wheat flour: 300 g
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Water: 1 glass
2
Mix grated onion with prepared minced meat and spices. It's best to use only salt and pepper to avoid an excess of different flavors. The filling is ready.
- Onion: 1 piece
- Ground beef: 500 g
- Spices: to taste
3
After the dough rests in a warm place for 20 minutes, roll it out into a thin layer.
4
We cut out identical circles or squares — whichever is convenient, and wrap them around the meat.
5
We freeze. We boil, fry, steam.
