Pizza Margherita is a true legend of Italian cuisine, embodying simplicity and elegance. It is believed to have been created in 1889 for Queen Margherita of Savoy, with its colors—red tomato sauce, white mozzarella, and green basil—reflecting the colors of the Italian flag. The tender dough with a crispy crust, rich tomato sauce with oregano and garlic, fresh basil, and melting mozzarella create a harmony of flavor. This pizza is loved for its purity and balance; it’s perfect for a cozy evening with a glass of red wine or aromatic espresso. It cooks quickly but each slice fills you with the pleasure and warmth of the Italian sun.
