Cannelloni with Bolognese sauce is a true embodiment of Italian gastronomic elegance. Originating from the Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy regions, this dish combines the rich flavor of Bolognese meat sauce with delicate pasta baked under a golden cheese crust. The taste is rich, juicy, filled with aromas of tomatoes, basil, and red wine. It’s the perfect treat for a cozy family dinner or a formal reception. Cannelloni pairs excellently with a glass of dry red wine, highlighting the richness of flavor and traditions of Italian cuisine.

Let's start with the sauce. Sauté the onion in olive oil. Add ground beef, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula, and season with salt and pepper. When the meat is almost ready, add tomatoes or tomato paste (depending on the season). Finally, add basil and a tablespoon of red wine if desired. Your sauce should be liquid enough to pour over the pasta.
