Pizza Margherita is a legendary Italian dish, symbolizing simple yet exquisite cuisine. Its name is linked to Queen Margherita of Savoy when chef Raffaele Esposito first made a pizza with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, reflecting the colors of the Italian flag. The crispy crust makes it particularly light and airy, while the aromatic tomato sauce simmered with olive oil adds richness to the flavor. Wheat flour, yeast, and water create a base that is baked to a golden crust. Pizza Margherita is perfect for family dinners, cozy evenings, and friendly gatherings, remaining a favorite worldwide due to its versatility and harmony of flavors.
