Caprese pasta is a simple yet exquisite dish that embodies the soul of Italian cuisine. Inspired by the famous Caprese salad, it features juicy tomatoes, aromatic basil, and delicate mozzarella creating a harmony of flavors. In this pasta version, fresh tomatoes are sautéed with garlic and oregano for a rich and spicy aroma. The addition of chili flakes adds a hint of heat, while melted mozzarella envelops the pasta in softness and tenderness. Rigatoni perfectly holds the sauce in its ridged curves, making each bite flavorful. Served with fragrant basil leaves that add freshness and completeness to the taste, Caprese pasta is an ideal choice for a light dinner or cozy lunch that fills the home with Mediterranean aromas.
