Pasta with tomatoes and onions

Boil the pasta (type of pasta at the cook's discretion, but vermicelli is preferred).
- Pasta: 250 g

Slice the onion into thin half-rings and fry it.
- Red onion: 1 head

Cut the tomatoes into small cubes (preferably peel them first). Add to the sautéed onions and simmer for a few minutes.
- Tomatoes: 3 pieces

Add ketchup, sugar, salt, and pepper, mix everything, and simmer for a few more minutes.
- Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
