Traditional Chili Con Carne

One of the most colorful Mexican-Texas dishes. A thick, rich porridge of red beans, ground beef, and vegetable sauce, which in itself is worth a separate dish. Despite all this mass of ingredients and flavors, cooking chili con carne is very simple - you just need to get some tasty products. Our chili con carne recipe includes ground beef with beef broth, several types of peppers, sweet tomato paste, and strong red beans. This wonderful concoction is good served with rice, corn chips, and any other floury-cereal side dish.

Cut the sweet pepper into cubes.
- Red sweet pepper: 2 pieces

Also chop the onion.
- Onion: 1 piece

Chop garlic and hot pepper.
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Chili pepper: 1 piece

In a deep skillet, heat the oil and sauté the onion over medium heat until transparent and soft.
- Onion: 1 piece

Add pepper, garlic, ground chili, paprika, and cumin, mix well, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Red sweet pepper: 2 pieces
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Ground chili pepper: 1 teaspoon
- Paprika: 1 teaspoon
- Cumin (zira): 1 teaspoon

Increase the heat and add the minced meat, fry it until brown, stirring constantly.
- Ground beef: 500 g

When the minced meat is fully cooked, add the broth.
- Beef broth: 300 ml

Add tomatoes, tomato paste, marjoram, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes.
- Chopped tomatoes in their own juice: 400 g
- Tomato paste: 50 g
- Marjoram: 0.5 teaspoon
- Sugar: to taste
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste

Add the washed beans.
- Canned red beans: 400 g

Cover with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes. Serve.
