Chopped Turkey Steak

Minced turkey steak is a tender and juicy dish that combines the lightness of the minced meat with the richness of spices. The history of minced steaks traces back to European cuisine, where such recipes emerged as an alternative to whole steaks. Turkey as the main ingredient makes the dish light and dietary, while adding greens, onions, and spices gives it aromatic richness. Greek ouzo or anise liqueur adds a touch of spiciness, and semolina makes the texture soft and elastic. Frying in a pan with a little water helps retain juiciness. This steak is great as a standalone dish with vegetable or potato sides and pairs excellently with spicy sauces. An ideal option for a cozy family dinner or festive table.

1
We finely chop the turkey breast with a knife - it's long, tedious, but necessary!
- Turkey breast: 800 g
2
Add finely chopped greens (dill, parsley, etc.), finely chopped onion, beaten eggs, salt, pepper, and spices to the minced meat. You can also add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream. Optionally, add 1-2 tablespoons of Greek ouzo or our anise liqueur. Finally, add 2 tablespoons of semolina and 2 tablespoons of flour. Mix well.
- Green: 100 g
- Onion: 1 piece
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
- Spices: to taste
- Sour cream 20%: 2 tablespoons
- Ouzo: 2 tablespoons
- Semolina: 2 tablespoons
- Wheat flour: 2 tablespoons

We heat the pan with oil. Wet our hands with cold water (to prevent sticking), shape the beefsteaks, place them in the pan, fry for a minute on high heat, then reduce the heat, cover with a lid and fry for about 10 minutes on each side (to cook the onion). You can add a little water to steam it (this is also good for semolina).
- Vegetable oil: 3 tablespoons
