Chicken satay skewers are a tender and aromatic dish from Pan-Asian cuisine that transports you to a world of Eastern flavors. This recipe originates from Southeast Asia, where satay is considered popular street food. The marinade made of soy sauce, cilantro, garlic, onion, and spicy Tabasco gives the chicken a rich flavor with a hint of spiciness and sweet caramel notes from brown sugar. Thin strips of chicken threaded onto skewers in an accordion style are perfectly grilled while remaining juicy and fragrant. They are served hot, often with peanut sauce or fresh vegetables. This is the perfect dish for a party or family dinner that allows you to enjoy the harmony of flavors and the atmosphere of warm Eastern traditions.

1
Place the chicken in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then take it out and slice it diagonally into pieces 0.5 cm wide - you will get long narrow strips.
2
Finely chop cilantro, onion, and garlic, and transfer to a bowl. Add soy sauce, oil, sugar, ketchup, Tabasco and mix. Pour this sauce over the chicken and place it in the refrigerator - it should marinate for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 hour.

Place the rack in the oven at the top level, about 15 cm from the heating element, and turn it on. Line the roasting pan with foil and cover it with a special lid with holes. Thread the meat onto 15 cm skewers in an accordion style and place it on the lid. Cover the ends of the skewers with a strip of foil to prevent burning. Grill for 4 minutes, then turn them over and continue grilling for about 4 minutes. Serve hot.
