Canadian-style baked potatoes are a simple yet surprisingly delicious way to prepare young potatoes, rooted in North American traditions. This method preserves the natural flavor of the potatoes while adding a salty crust formed during slow evaporation of water. Sea salt enhances the taste and highlights the tender texture of the tubers. Fragrant dill completes the dish with fresh herbal notes. It is perfect as a standalone snack or a side dish for meat and fish dishes, especially in summer when young potatoes are particularly tasty.

1
Thoroughly wash young small potatoes, place them in a pot, fill with water halfway and add salt.
- Potato: 1 kg
- Sea salt: 1 tablespoon
2
Carefully cover the pot with a kitchen towel. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour until the liquid evaporates and the salt forms a salty crust on the tubers.
3
Remove the towel to let the moisture evaporate completely. Serve sprinkled with dill.
- Dill: 2 sprigs
