Turkey shashlik with oranges is an unusual combination of tender dietary meat and bright citrus notes that attracts gourmets with its refreshing taste. The roots of this dish trace back to American cuisine, where marinating and combining fruits with meat is often experimented with. Orange juice, complemented by lemon and garlic, makes the turkey juicy, giving it a slight tang and expressive aroma. Marinating with thick slices of orange enriches the meat with fruity tones, while proper grilling reveals the depth of flavor. The key is to salt just before grilling to maintain the turkey's tenderness. This shashlik is perfect for summer picnics and friendly gatherings outdoors, offering a harmony of lightness, brightness, and richness.
