Garlic fried royal shrimp is the essence of Mediterranean cuisine, combining simplicity of preparation with rich flavor. Royal shrimp sautéed over high heat with garlic develop an appetizing crispy crust and reveal their deep, slightly sweet sea aroma. Garlic adds zest while fresh lemon juice refreshes and balances the taste. The dish is perfect for a romantic dinner or friendly gatherings with a glass of white wine. This coastal restaurant classic is a true celebration for seafood lovers that requires no complex ingredients but offers exquisite gastronomic pleasure.

1
Thaw the shrimp (you can rinse them under slightly warm water - they will thaw faster).
- King Prawns: 1 kg
2
Pour a little vegetable (olive) oil into a large non-stick pan. Heat it over high heat and add the shrimp.
- Vegetable oil: 3 tablespoons
- King Prawns: 1 kg
3
Do not reduce the heat (the entire cooking process is on high heat). Fry the shrimp uncovered, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula until the water evaporates (about 7-10 minutes). Meanwhile, finely chop the garlic.
- Garlic: 6 cloves

When the water evaporates and the shrimp are slightly browned: season with salt and pepper to taste, add garlic, and cover with a lid. After about 5 minutes, stir, cover again, and cook until the shrimp reach the desired crispness (I wait another 3-5 minutes).
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
- Garlic: 6 cloves

Then turn off the heat and let it sit covered for another 10 minutes. Slice the lemon or lime into wedges on plates (to drizzle just before eating).
- Lemon juice: to taste
