Chicken wings in orange marinade are a delightful dish of Russian cuisine, infused with the aroma of citrus and spices. The combination of orange sweetness and soy sauce spiciness creates a unique flavor balance that makes the wings tender and juicy. Marinating under pressure deeply saturates the meat with juices and aromas, while baking at high temperature gives an appetizing crispy crust. This recipe is perfect for friendly gatherings or cozy family dinners. Serving with lemon juice and fresh zest highlights the dish's freshness, making it even more exquisite. Serve them hot – and this treat will become a true decoration of your table, delighting all your guests!

1
Wash the wings and dry them with paper towels. Place the chicken in a deep bowl. Slice the red onion into thin rings and add it to the chicken. Peel the orange zest using a vegetable peeler, cutting thin strips.
- Chicken wings: 1 kg
- Sweet red onion: 100 g
- Oranges: 200 g
2
Grate the garlic or crush it in a mortar, then add the resulting paste to the wings.
- Garlic: 2 cloves
3
Squeeze orange juice here. Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and oil. Mix the mixture well, coating the wings with the marinade.
- Oranges: 200 g
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
4
Now let the wings marinate for 30-60 minutes, placing them under a weight. Cover the wings with a flat plate and put something heavy on top - a mortar, a jar filled with water, etc. This will allow you to temporarily forget about the chicken, and you can be sure that each wing will soak up all the juices and aromas from the marinade.
5
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grease a baking tray or dish with any vegetable oil (refined sunflower, refined olive, peanut) or line it with parchment paper to prevent the wings from sticking.
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
6
Place the wings in a mold/tray, put them in a preheated oven at 200 degrees, and bake for 15-20 minutes, adjusting the cooking time based on the size of the wings.
7
Serve the wings hot. If desired, drizzle them with the juice of half a freshly squeezed lemon just before serving and you can grate a bit of fresh lemon zest on top.
- Oranges: 200 g
