French-style potatoes in a frying pan

French-style potatoes in a skillet is a dish that combines the elegance of French cuisine with homey comfort. It resembles the famous gratin but is simpler and quicker to prepare. Its base consists of layers of tender pork, aromatic mushrooms, onions, potatoes, and ripe tomatoes soaked in mayonnaise and sealed with a golden crust of Dutch cheese. The smooth transition of flavors—from juicy meat to soft potatoes and savory mushrooms—creates a rich and harmonious taste. This dish is perfect for family dinners or friendly gatherings, bringing warmth and heartiness. It's convenient to cook in one pot, allowing the ingredients to exchange aromas. Such potatoes are a true delight for gourmets who appreciate simplicity and depth of flavor!

1
Cut the pork (or any other meat) into portion-sized pieces, tenderize, rub with seasoning (stores sell special spice mixes for French fries (I have TM Pripravich), or use any other spices you like), and lightly fry.
- Pork: 500 g
- Spices: to taste
2
Cut the mushrooms and potatoes into not too large pieces. Slice the onion into half rings and the tomatoes into rings. Grate the cheese.
- Champignons: 300 g
- Potato: 5 piece
- Onion: 4 heads
- Tomatoes: 2 pieces
- Dutch cheese: 200 g

In a deep pan (better if it's a pot like a kazan), layer the fried pork, then mushrooms, onions, potatoes, a bit of seasoning or salt and pepper, and tomatoes. After placing everything, take mayonnaise and spread it with a spoon. Sprinkle with cheese. Add a little water to prevent the pork at the bottom from burning.

- Onion: 4 heads
- Potato: 5 piece
- Spices: to taste
