Meat cutlets in the oven

Meat patties in the oven are a classic dish of Russian cuisine that combines simplicity of preparation and rich flavor. The origins of the recipe go deep into folk traditions when patties were cooked over an open fire, but baking in the oven makes them especially juicy and tender. A mixture of beef and pork mince, bread soaked in milk, and spices create a rich taste, while pre-frying adds an appetizing crust. Baking in the oven allows for even heating of the patties and preserves their juiciness. These patties pair perfectly with mashed potatoes, buckwheat, or fresh vegetables, and their aromatic flavor makes them a favorite dish at family lunches and festive gatherings.
