Rinse round rice at least 5 times, then boil. Proportions: one cup of rice to 2 cups of water (some say water should be 2-2.5 cm above the rice height). Salt everything, add spices if needed, and put on the heat. Boil for the first 5 minutes on high heat, covered. Then another 5 minutes on medium heat. Cook on low heat until done, total cooking time is about 20-25 minutes. Basically, wait until all the water evaporates. If the rice is not done in that time, make 4-5 holes to the bottom of the pot with a knife and pour in 3-4 tablespoons of boiling water, cooking for another 10 minutes. Once everything is ready, let the rice cool.

Chop 2 large onions into cubes and fry until translucent. You can use regular onions, but I chose red onions for better flavor.

While frying the onion, break 4-5 eggs, separating the yolk from the white. Whip the egg whites to a fluffy foam and gently mix them with the cooled rice. This will give the dish the necessary lightness. You can chop and add dill to the rice, mixing everything together.

We mix the yolk with fried onions. We cut the sausages in half lengthwise.

In a greased form, we lay a layer of rice. Then the mixture of onion and yolks. Next, we place the halves of the sausages. On top, we spread the remaining rice. You can grease the top with sour cream or mayonnaise. Add grated cheese on top for a tasty crust.
