Spicy chicken is a dish inspired by the Italian cuisine's passion for rich flavors and spicy notes. The recipe's base is a young chicken marinated in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, sage, and aromatic red chili pepper. This combination gives the dish a fiery heat balanced by the refreshing tang of citrus. After marination, the meat is roasted to a golden crust while retaining its juiciness and absorbing vibrant spice aromas. It's an ideal dish for lovers of spicy cuisine that pairs well with fresh herbs and a light side dish. Served with crispy bread or grilled vegetables, it complements the rich flavor of the spicy chicken. The recipe's history traces back to southern Italy, where spicy dishes are traditionally valued for their ability to warm and awaken the senses.
