Marinated chicken and onion kebabs with barbecue sauce

Marinated chicken and onion skewers with barbecue sauce are the essence of a summer feast, infused with the aromas of smoke and spices. This recipe, inspired by European traditions, combines the tenderness of chicken meat, the richness of onion, and the spiciness of barbecue sauce. The marinade in which the chicken rests for 15 minutes to a day makes the meat juicy and tender, while adding cherry gives a light sweetness to the dish. The finished skewers, grilled to a golden crust, reveal a variety of flavors – from the sweet-sour tomato base to the heat of Tabasco. They are best served with an extra portion of barbecue sauce, fresh vegetables, and herbs. This is an ideal option for friendly gatherings, picnics or cozy family dinners outdoors.
