Solyanka with chicken and bacon

Chicken and bacon solyanka is the embodiment of rich flavors in Russian cuisine. Historically, solyanka was a dish born from the creativity of Russian chefs who combined various ingredients into a hearty, spicy soup. In this version, the classic pairing of chicken and bacon is complemented by two types of cabbage, pelati tomatoes, and creamy sour cream. Bacon adds smoky notes to the dish, duck fat provides smoothness, and chili sauce adds a slight spiciness. The solyanka turns out thick and aromatic, perfectly warming and satisfying. It is served hot, garnished with fresh herbs, and pairs wonderfully with rye bread or homemade rolls. This is the perfect dish for a cozy family lunch or as a hearty dinner after a long day.
