Potato flatbreads are a simple yet incredibly cozy dish from Russian cuisine. For centuries, they served as a hearty treat on peasant tables where potatoes were an accessible and nutritious product. Their tender texture and golden crust create a harmony of flavors, especially when combined with aromatic cinnamon and sugar. The flatbreads are perfect for breakfast or a cozy tea time. Their softness and creaminess evoke the warmth of home, while their slight sweetness makes them resemble dessert. They are best enjoyed freshly made and warm, with butter slowly melting on their surface.
