Chops in the oven

A classic home dish - thinly sliced chop (we mentioned pork, but, for example, it could be chicken) is rolled in fine breadcrumbs, lightly fried in a frying pan in a large amount of oil and then quietly finished in the oven. Chops in the oven are cooked all over the country, and many do it automatically, without looking at a cookbook. But you will still get more flavor if you undertake to cook chops in the oven, observing all the subtleties. For example , do not forget to powder the meat with flour before dipping it into a beaten egg - the first component of batter.

Place the cutlets between two sheets of food wrap and pound them well with the flat side of a mallet.

Season the chops with salt and pepper, then dust them with flour on both sides.

- Ground black pepper: to taste
- Wheat flour: 40 g

Mix breadcrumbs, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, and paprika.
- Breadcrumbs: 125 g

In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg.

Dip the cutlets in egg.

Coat the meat in the breading mixture so that the crumbs cover all the meat.

Grease the baking tray with oil, place all the prepared meat on it. Drizzle the cutlets with oil on top and send the tray to an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15 minutes (or until golden brown).
