Potato boats

Potato boats are a simple yet incredibly cozy dish from Soviet cuisine. They resemble little ships sailing on waves of gastronomic delight. Baked potatoes with a tasty slice of fat resembling a sail create a combination of crispy crust, tender flesh, and juicy melted fat. The taste of potato boats is a harmony of simplicity and richness: salty, slightly sweet, with a bright aroma of baked fat. These boats are perfect as a standalone dish or as an appetizer for traditional home feasts. They are prepared for family dinners, holidays, and sometimes even on hikes by baking over coals. This recipe is a memory of childhood, the warm kitchen of grandma, and the time when simple ingredients turned into true culinary masterpieces.
