Green beans fried in lard

10 minutes
Fried green beans with lard is a simple yet surprisingly aromatic dish from Ukrainian cuisine. It originates from traditional rural cooking, where lard is an important element in many recipes. Crispy beans infused with the rich aroma of melted lard acquire a unique texture and flavor. The spiciness of chili pepper adds zest, while garlic provides a pronounced richness. Soy sauce subtly balances the saltiness, making the dish even deeper in taste. This treat is perfect as a standalone snack or as a side dish to meat dishes. It warms the soul and evokes memories of cozy family evenings filled with home-cooked aromas and warmth.
