Turkey casserole is a classic dish of American cuisine that combines tender turkey meat, creamy sour cream texture, and rich cheese flavor. This recipe emerged as a convenient way to use leftover turkey, especially after Thanksgiving. The casserole has a soft consistency with a pleasant blend of salty, creamy, and slightly spicy notes from black pepper. It is perfect for family dinners and also serves as a hearty lunch dish. Baking makes the meat incredibly juicy while the cheesy crust adds an appetizing crunch. Served hot, it pairs well with green salads or light sides, making it a versatile choice for everyday meals.
