Kamchy is a traditional dish of Tatar cuisine that harmoniously combines simplicity of preparation and rich flavor. Its name translates to 'whip,' reflecting the long strips of meat. The main ingredient is tender lamb marinated in vinegar with bay leaves, salt, and black pepper for a special zest. After marination, the meat is rolled into circles and fried until golden brown, making it juicy inside and crispy outside. Kamchy pairs perfectly with fresh vegetables, herbs, and traditional side dishes like potatoes or rice.
