Glögg with almonds, raisins and spices

Glögg is a drink made from hot wine with added sugar and spices. In Sweden, it is drunk exclusively before Christmas from special small cups and with the obligatory raisins and peeled almonds. Glögg is traditionally served with gingerbread cookies and blue cheese.

Pour wine and cognac into a pot, heat to 60–70 degrees. The boiling point of alcohol is 78 degrees, so do not heat above this temperature, or the alcohol will evaporate.
- Red dry wine: 750 ml
- Cognac: 50 g

Add the remaining ingredients, only the zest of the orange is needed. Turn off the heat and let it steep for at least thirty minutes. When the drink is ready, heat it up, strain it, and serve.
