Orange liqueur is an elegant and rich delight embodying the sunny warmth of ripe oranges. This drink, inspired by the traditions of homemade liqueur-making, combines vibrant citrus freshness with soft sweetness and subtle notes of alcohol. Making the liqueur requires patience as its flavor unfolds through prolonged infusion. During this process, oranges release their essence, filling the drink with a rich aroma. The finished liqueur has a perfect balance of sweet and sour notes, creating a unique harmony. It is great for sipping chilled on its own or for crafting cocktails where its noble taste enhances other ingredients. Orange liqueur is not just a drink; it is a true art of flavor that can be lovingly made at home.

1
The ingredients are calculated for 1.25 liters of finished liqueur.
2
Required containers: 1 jar with a lid (1 liter capacity), 1 bottle (1-1.5 liters capacity)
3
Preparation time: 1 hour of total work + 7-8 days of infusion. Wash the oranges and carefully peel them. Try not to touch the white pith, as too much can make the liqueur bitter. It's easiest to peel using a vegetable peeler, making thin strips. Place all the peel in a jar, cover with vodka, and store in the refrigerator or another cool, dark place for 5 days.
- Oranges: 5 piece
- Vodka: 0.7 l

Put the oranges, or rather what is left of them, in a bag, tie it tightly and store it in the fridge. After 5 days, when we continue making the liqueur, they will be needed. On the sixth day, strain the orange infusion to separate the liquid from the zest. The zest will no longer be needed; feel free to throw it away.

From the oranges, from which the zest was removed in the first stage and which have been stored in the refrigerator for the past 5 days, squeeze the juice. You will get about half a liter (0.5 liters). If it's less, add water to reach the desired volume. Mix the orange juice with 0.5 kg of sugar and place it on the stove over high heat. Stir and heat until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Oranges: 5 piece
- Sugar: 0.5 kg
6
Cool the prepared syrup completely. Mix the syrup with orange liqueur, pour the resulting liqueur into a bottle, and refrigerate for another 2-3 days. Serve the finished liqueur chilled in frozen shot glasses or glasses.
