Glögg is a warming aromatic drink that originated in northern countries but has found its place in Russian cuisine as well. Its history is rooted in the tradition of winter holidays when people gathered in cozy homes to enjoy hot spiced beverages. Glögg features a rich flavor of red wine complemented by the sweetness of raisins, the tenderness of almonds, and the warmth of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. A bright citrus note from orange adds freshness while vodka enhances the warming effect. This drink is perfect for cold evenings, friendly gatherings, and New Year celebrations. Glögg is not only delicious but also has a relaxing and cozy character that fills the atmosphere with warmth and aromas of winter spices.
