Brewing in a Chemex reveals subtle aromatic nuances, creating a complex and refined flavor profile. The origins of the drink trace back to the culture of slow coffee drinking, where every stage and detail of preparation matters. It’s not just coffee; it’s an art of taste that can transport you to the sunny shores of the tropics.

1
First, brew coffee in a Chemex. Take 24 grams of coffee and 380 ml of water. Make a coarse grind (like sea salt). Wet the filter with hot water to remove the paper smell and warm the Chemex. Heat the filtered water for brewing to 92–94 degrees. Place the Chemex on a scale, add the ground coffee, pour in a little water, and wait for 20–30 seconds. Then pour water in a thin stream, evenly wetting the coffee.
