Chicha de pina is a traditional Peruvian drink that embodies the aromas of the tropics and spicy notes. Its roots go back centuries when the indigenous people of the Andes used pineapple to create refreshing infusions. This drink is made from the peel and core of pineapple boiled with cane sugar and spices like allspice, cinnamon, and cloves. After straining, pineapple juice is added for sweetness and rich flavor. Chicha de pina has a pleasant fruity freshness with subtle spicy accents, perfectly quenching thirst and warming on cool days. It can be served warm or chilled, enjoying every sip of this exquisite Peruvian beverage.
