Lazy dumplings with crumbly cottage cheese are a cozy dish of Russian cuisine, infused with the warmth of home. It is believed that lazy dumplings emerged as a simplified version of traditional dumplings to save time in preparation while retaining the delicate taste of cottage cheese dough. They turn out soft, airy, and slightly sweet due to sugar, while butter gives them a velvety texture. Dumplings pair wonderfully with sour cream, honey, jam, or fresh berries. This is an ideal breakfast or light dinner that delights with its simplicity and flavor.
