French toast is a classic dish embodying a cozy morning in Paris. Its history dates back to medieval France when leftover bread was transformed into a delicate treat. With a simple composition of white bread, eggs, milk, and butter, the toast achieves an airy texture and golden crust. Its flavor is a balance of softness and light sweetness, especially if you add some sugar or chocolate spread. French toast is perfect for breakfast or dessert, and its versatility allows for experimentation with fillings like berries, honey, and syrups. They are not only soaked in the aroma of vanilla and melted butter but also carry the atmosphere of morning French elegance.

1
Take white bread, preferably pre-sliced, cut off the crust, leaving only the soft part. Cut in half into triangles.
- White bread: 500 g
2
In a bowl, mix 2 eggs and milk, and whisk lightly. Heat a pan with a piece of butter (it's better to use butter, as it makes the toast softer and prettier than using other oils). Dip the triangle in the milk and egg mixture for a few seconds and place it in the melted butter (in the pan). Fry on both sides. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with sugar.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Milk: 150 ml
- Butter: to taste
- Sugar: to taste
3
If you want to sweeten your breakfast even more, toast the bread whole without cutting it into triangles. After the toasts are toasted and sprinkled with sugar, spread a strip of chocolate spread like Nutella on one side. Roll it up, leaving the filling in the center.
- Sugar: to taste
