Pear oatmeal without sugar
2 servings
35 minutes
Sugar-free pear oatmeal is a cozy, warming dish perfect for a quiet morning. This recipe is inspired by Russian culinary tradition, where oatmeal is an essential breakfast attribute. The natural sweetness of ripe pear replaces sugar, giving the porridge a soft, delicate flavor with light caramel notes. Adding cinnamon makes the aroma even more warming and rich. Pear oatmeal is not only delicious but also nutritious, energizing you for the whole day. It pairs well with nuts or honey and serves as an excellent option for those who follow healthy eating habits. The simplicity of preparation and availability of ingredients make this recipe an ideal choice for those who appreciate cozy and healthy breakfasts.

1
In a pot, add 1 cup of oatmeal, pour in 2 cups of warm milk and 1 cup of warm water (can be heated in the microwave). Wait for the water and milk to boil.
- Oat flakes: 1 glass
- Milk: 2 glasss
- Water: 1 glass
2
While everything is boiling, wash and peel 1 pear, then grate it.
- Conference Pears: 2 pieces
3
When the water and milk boil, add 1/3 teaspoon of salt without a heap, reduce the heat to minimum. Add grated pear and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Salt: to taste
- Conference Pears: 2 pieces
- Cinnamon: pinch
4
Then let the porridge cook on low heat with the lid closed for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5
I usually prepare porridge in the evening, so after boiling for 20 minutes, I turn off the stove, wrap the pot in a towel, and leave it on the stove to 'steam' more. But if you cook in the morning, leave the porridge covered for another 10-15 minutes before serving!
6
Before serving, peel and cut the remaining pear into small pieces, and add the pieces to the bowl with the porridge.
- Conference Pears: 2 pieces
