Cheesecakes with Green Onions

Cheese pancakes with green onions are a delicious and aromatic dish of Russian cuisine, where the tenderness of cottage cheese dough combines with the spiciness of fresh onions. Traditionally, they were made for breakfast or snack as they are very filling and provide a sense of comfort. The recipe uses cottage cheese, flour, egg, and a bit of vegetable oil, while green onions add a special flavor and freshness. The pancakes are cooked in a pan until golden brown and then covered to become soft inside. They can be served with sour cream or fresh vegetables and also taken on the go as a nutritious snack. This recipe is an excellent choice for those looking for a simple yet original version of traditional treats.

1
You need to pass the cottage cheese through a sieve, add an egg, slaked soda (can be replaced with a spoon of sour cream), and salt, then mix everything.
- Cottage cheese: 500 g
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Slaked soda: pinch
2
Then chop the pre-washed and dried green onions into small rings and mix with the cottage cheese mass. The amount of onion is not critical — it's up to personal preference. Next, add the sifted flour to the mixture — the mass for the cheese pancakes is ready.
- Wheat flour: 150 g

It's better to cook on a ceramic pan (oh how I want to fit into my favorite dress!), in this case, you'll need very little vegetable oil. I love frying in olive oil, but it depends on personal preference. Form small patties by hand, lightly dust with flour, and place them on a heated pan.
- Vegetable oil: 1 teaspoon
4
Brown on one side, flip, cover with a lid for 10 minutes, reducing the heat.
5
Place the ready cheese pancakes on a plate with a blue rim, and the dream of the stomach is before you.
