Tunturma is a traditional Tatar omelet known for its tenderness and fluffiness. This recipe combines simplicity with a rich flavor achieved through the use of milk and butter. Historically, tunturma was made for breakfast or served with tea, enjoyed for its soft texture and rich aroma. The omelet has a light creamy taste and pleasant fluffiness, with its subtle flavor pairing well with herbs or sour cream. Baking in the oven gives it a unique structure, making it slightly denser yet still airy. Tunturma is perfect as a standalone dish or as an accompaniment to meat or vegetables, becoming part of a cozy family meal.
