Syrniki with sour cream are a classic Russian dessert filled with the warmth of home. They trace back to ancient Russian traditions when cottage cheese was a staple in many dishes due to its nutritional properties. Tender inside and crispy outside, syrniki captivate with their lightness and pleasant tang of cheese, softened by the sweetness of vanilla sugar and condensed milk. The sour cream adds an airy texture and rich creamy flavor, perfectly complementing the golden cheese patties. This is an ideal breakfast or dessert best enjoyed with a cup of aromatic black coffee that enhances its delicate milky notes. Syrniki evoke memories of childhood and family breakfasts that warm the soul.
