Corn flour syrniki are a delicate and airy treat from Russian cuisine. Their base is cottage cheese, which gives the dish a light tang and rich dairy flavor. The addition of corn flour makes the texture softer and adds a subtle nutty note. Syrniki are perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack, and their golden crust when fried makes them especially appetizing. Traditionally, they are served with sour cream, jam, or honey, complementing their rich taste. Historically, syrniki were popular among Slavic peoples, especially in Russia and Ukraine, where cottage cheese is a key ingredient in many dishes. These syrniki are an excellent combination of simplicity and sophistication that can adorn any table.
