Sweet casserole drochena
4 servings
40 minutes
Drochena, or drachena, or dratsona, is a simple casserole, close in spirit to an omelet. Initially, this dish is ritual - like pancakes, drochena was taken to the cemetery on memorial days, but nothing prevents you from making it for breakfast. Our recipe is basic, but you can replace the milk with yogurt or plant milk, or add potatoes, nuts or dried fruits. Drochena will forgive everything.
